It's not like that at all.

It's more like I know I'll never be able to forgive him. But the fact that you think he's worth a chance makes me think maybe it's possible I'm wrong about that.

I think he does want to change, and even that he can change, but I don't expect you, or anyone else really, to forgive him. At least not for a very long time, if ever. I don't want you to feel like you should because of me.
