Don't push him to go with someone who isn't going to return his feelings. I know it seems like things will get easier if he's not hung up on you anymore, but the last thing he needs is to feel rejected again when his self-esteem is already so pathetic that he actually has an inferiority complex to the fake person who embodies it.
He's probably not ever going to feel totally comfortable just being friends with you, and while he'll forgive Gamzee, it's going to take a while. And maybe you should just, I don't know, accept that?
