[ so the previous day you likely noticed that Jade was a happy, cheerful drone! fortunately, today she is back to her normal self, up bright and early and just a little confused, all things considered. but for now, she's settled herself down at the breakfast table, humming and working at a bowl of cereal.

everything seems pretty normal, save for the pair of dog ears she's now sporting. ]

Hi Mayfield, it's Jade! [ wow she sounds super excited! breeeeathe! ] I have so much to tell you!

I went home! I'm not really sure how, or if that kind of thing happens a lot but I went home and I don't think I remembered being here or what but it's really weird! I'm also not sure why I'm back but I guess I'm kind of glad because now I can tell everyone-- or maybe I'm not supposed to say anything! Does anyone know anything about that, I mean, I don't want to spoil anything for my friends who don't know what's going to happen.

Timelines are getting kind of difficult to keep track of, maybe I should make a list.

Anyway, does this going home thing happen a lot? Because I keep getting pulled out at kind of inconvenient times!

[ action ; around mayfield ]

[ Jade is quite active around Mayfield today, once again having donned her girl scouts uniform, but without the wagon of cookies in tow. She's chopped some holes into her hat to accommodate her newly regained ears, and is approaching just about everyone, be they girl or otherwise, with the intention of recruitment. ]

Just a day? Hehe, well, I'm back now so you don't need to worry about any more boringness or grumpiness!

[pressing her his chest before kneeling down and tweaking her ears.]

What's this now?

They're dog ears! Actually, I think they are the same ears that belonged to my dog, Bec.

[Playing with theeeeem.]

It's a bit unusual. How did you get them?

[ she grins and lets him do so. it feels kind of nice. ]

It's kind of a complicated story.

[Grins back at her as he tweaks them.]

Well, complication aside, they're very nice.

[ Jade is quiet for a moment, looking away. Her grin is not so bright right now. ]

Actually, um, even though it's complicated, maybe I could tell you anyway? I don't know if I can even tell it to anyone else.

...Of course. You can always talk to me.

[He looks tempted to pick her up, like he did when she was undead, but resists. Jade may be a little girl, but she's not that little. Instead he tightens an arm around her shoulders.]

Okay. [ she sighs, but it sounds relieved. it's nice to have someone to confide to. ] I don't want to talk about it in the kitchen though.

...To the TARDIS?

[Aaand off they go! The TARDIS isn't far, just in the living room, but when they enter, the Doctor takes her hand and leads her past the control panel, up the stairs, and down many twisting corridors.

He finally stops at a door, gives her a cheeky grin, and opens it. Inside is a grassy field with nothing but a swingset.]

There we are. A good talk needs to have a good room and so, this is one of the best in the TARDIS if I do say so myself.

[ whoa... Jade seems taken aback by the room, lingers in the doorway and just stares inside. ]

It's perfect.

Of course it is.

[He waltzes over to the swingset and sits down, using his legs to swing back and forth slightly.]

[ She follows him inside, plops herself down in the swing beside him and lets her legs dangle. Now that they're actually here she seems a little hesitant to speak. Karkat had said they can't trust him, but she does, and he might be one of the few people she can talk to about this. ]

[He's quiet. He's not going to prompt her to speak until she wants to, because she does seem to be rather... off. Considering what Karkat had said about his world, it's possible she experienced something really horrible.

So he just gives her a comforting smile before continuing to swing gently.]

[ She kicks her legs unevenly, just stalling now, trying to think of what she actually wants to say, or how to explain everything. ]

Um, okay, I think it might be easiest to start at the very beginning of everything, and just explain from there, so you don't get confused.

Alright, so-- [ and after a deep breath, Jade proceeds to explain all of homestuck. Once she's started she gets pretty wrapped up in it, talking faster and faster. I am not typing out everything (anything) she's saying because you are a homestuck and also hell naw.

Once she's finally stopped talking she looks almost out of breath, and a little drained. ]

So I got pulled out right when I was doing all this planet stuff, and I'm ahead of everyone else now.

...I see.

Well. You definitely can't tell anyone their future. Don't want to go ripping a hole in the universe more than you already have.

[he swings, thoughtfully.]

I'm ahead of everyone from my world too. I'll be honest Jade, it's tough and a bit lonely.

Yeah, I mean, I used to know a little more than everyone else, but that didn't last very long. The way it is now feels different.

[ She sighs, looks over at him. ]
